This residence done by Type 0 Architecture features extensive use of our Burmese Teak solid hardwood, forming a warm and cohesive architectural language throughout the home. The rich golden brown tones of the teak appear across the floors, walls, staircases, and built-in cabinetry, creating a unified material palette that ties the multi-storey layout together. In the private rooms, the teak flooring introduces a welcoming warmth that softens the crisp lines of the contemporary interior. The bedroom and family areas feel grounded through the timber’s natural variation and depth, providing visual continuity from one space to the next. The central atrium showcases the material most dramatically, where the staircase, wall cladding, and ceiling panels come together to frame the vertical openness of the home. Timber-lined corridors and slatted detailing contribute to a strong architectural identity, balancing the solidity of teak with the lightness of glass, greenery, and filtered daylight. Across the entire project, Burmese Teak serves not only as a surface material but as a defining element that shapes the character of the home, emphasising warmth, craftsmanship, and a sense of enduring natural beauty.
